LOCAL PARTNERS, SHARED VALUES

How Darcica Logistics and Oxford Plastics deliver excellence together.

BACKGROUND

Founded in 1985 on Enstone Airfield in Oxfordshire, Oxford Plastics is a family-run manufacturer of high-performance safety and site equipment. The company has grown from a small business unit into an 80 employee operation on an eight-acre site, exporting to over 30 countries worldwide.

As one of Europe’s largest users of recycled PVC, sustainability is more than a value, it’s the foundation of their business. From manufacturing over 70,000 safety products per month, to pioneering lifecycle-focused product design, they’ve become known as an industry leader in sustainable innovation.

THE BRIEF

Driven by its commitment to environmental responsibility, Osmo wanted to work with a like-minded logistics provider who shared its sustainability values. Darcica Logistics is locally based and passed its Mission Zero audit with flying colours – a Quality Accredited Standard for the road fleet sector (equivalent to FORS Silver) which includes a Sustainability Module aligned to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Darcica advocates sustainable logistics, from optimising transportation, warehousing, packaging and distribution processes to reducing energy consumption, emissions, and waste which Osmo found highly attractive. In addition, customer service, storage options and finding a provider that could fulfil all its logistics needs were key.

Alex Vukoman, Order to Delivery & Logistics Controller, Oxford Plastics said:

"Partnering with Darcica has strengthened our commitment towards reducing our carbon footprint. A shared ethos in a greener future as well as a professional partnership with a like-minded service provider, demonstrates our attentiveness to ensure our supply chain supports our journey for a cleaner tomorrow.”
