Whether you’re a seasoned expert or new to eCommerce, the next few months will be the same for every retailer; your busiest and most hectic time!
Here at Darcica we’re gearing up for the eCommerce peak season, starting with Black Friday on Friday 25th November.
We’ve got our sustainable Pallite storage and pre-loved racking ready, along with our plastic-free Geami wrap to ensure products are picked, packed, protected and delivered in the most efficient and environmentally friendly way.
But how should you prepare? See below for our top tips on how we can work together to top peak:
1) Ensuring delivery performance during peak
With more Royal Mail strikes planned throughout November, businesses could face a lot of disruption to their deliveries. However, being part of a larger network, we can offer more flexibility and the ability to move across multiple carriers so you won’t be affected by strike action.
Other benefits include :
1 Collection for all Carriers
1 Invoice
1 Customer Service Contact
1 Booking portal
It’s also worth stating that your deliveries will be 48 hours rather than 24 hours during peak. This will help manage expectations and avoid disappointment, especially during these busy periods.
2) Early incentives will increase orders
Incentives such as free delivery or a minimum of 10% off will encourage customers to order early. There are so many deals these days you need to make sure you’ve got a really inviting offer!
Offers mean orders so you need to also make sure you’ve got plenty of stock in.
And don’t forget to communicate your offers to both your existing customers as well as new customers via your website and on socials. If you have a customer database, start emailing them now to give them a few weeks’ notice of your upcoming offers for Black Friday/Cyber Monday.
3) Using a logistics management service improves customer service
Your logistics platform should give you full transparency so you can see what’s being picked and packed through to what’s been dispatched and delivered. This might include same day courier or overnight carrier, ensuring your goods are delivered from A to B in a dedicated vehicle in the quickest way possible.
Being able to view all this on one platform will help put your mind at rest and give you more time to concentrate on marketing your products for peak! It also helps to see that if things do go wrong you can see what we’re doing to fix it.
So, following our tips you may be feeling ready for peak, but don’t just take our word for it.
